Global Setting: Preload

22 Nov 2014, 01:07

The comments on this setting state "# Only set to true AFTER you are finished editing!"

Not sure what that means. The bulk of the work on my site is done... but there are are lot of tweaks that still need to be made... ie. preview image setting and things like that.

Should I set this setting to true?

Sure go ahead! I would just recommend that you remember to set it to false before you do a batch of editing again. After you are finished editing for the day, feel free to set it to true again ...

The reason we need to make this clear, is because some users setting it to true, are bound to forget to set it to false once they start editing again. This might not be a problem, but because the process of creating the full website object and caching it is quite demanding, it could slow down the server if it has to do the same process each time you test a page while you are editing.
