Same same...

I appreciate it. I'm going to try to leave it open until there is joy and some success. It really is a sandbox, so no big deal. (the sandbox I'm referring to is the server I'm playing on. I do however want to solve this problem as soon as I can)

I have a feeling there may be some syntax thing lurking in the process of making it from your success to my incorporation of the data. Humans tend to be the weaker link in this kind of situation.

By the way... how do you pronounce "mjau-mjau" and is there some meaning to it? Just in a curious mood I guess.... but I digress. 8)

and it seems your setup is identical to mine but it doesnt seem to be working...

now i don't know if this is because of a subdomain or what but it worked for my blog

I still can ´t see a link to the SWFObject javascript that is used to embed the SWF. That needs to be embedded into the head of the wordpress.

Also, I came across this which may(should) simplify integration:
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-swfobject/
Code
[SWF]movie.swf, width, heigth, var1=val1&var2=val2[/SWF]
Just fill in the blank fields from the example integrations, and add the vars background_color, foreground_color, theme. Should be good. Tell me how it goes ...

Oh yeah... forgot to mention... was playing around so much, decided to restore it back to original. Minor, soon to be remedied issue.

Thanks, G.

It was too easy. Both of the code sections you provided are, sorry to say, unnecessary. But of course your effort and guidance is most appreciated.

simply install this plugin...
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-swfobject/

add this code
Code
[SWF]movie.swf, width, heigth, var1=val1&var2=val2[/SWF]
                             -- IN THIS INSTANCE I USED --
[SWF]gallery/imagevue/imagevue2.swf, 930, 600,foreground_color=EEEEEE&background_color=000000&theme=default[/SWF]
That's it. Play around until it looks good.

Like I said, too easy. Live and learn, right?

Hi, I am working on the same issue...I tried the plugin you mentioned and it works great for X2. But I want to embed a V1 slideshow - and for some reason I do not unterstand the plugin doesn ´t work for V1. It starts to load, but stays empty. Calling the swf directly does work though.

You can see it here: http://von-muspellheim.de/yngvi/ (scoll to the bottom).

The swf are:

http://von-muspellheim.de/bilderX2/imag ... gevue2.swf

and

http://von-muspellheim.de/bilderv1/slideshow.swf

Can somebody figure it out?
