Yes, we stop the audio player once a video lightbox opens. However, we do not auto-start the music after the lighbox closes. Why? This is a bit complicated, because the lightbox is an external html window, and we cannot successfully detect in Imagevue when the window closes. Don't you think the visitor can restart the music themselves? Its not like Youtube turns off the music in any other application when its running ... People kinda handle this manually.

I will see if there is anything I can in next release about restarting the audio after video lightbox closes. The reason it worked before, is because we had an internal native player inside Imagevue. With the latest release, there is a new improved video player, although it loads in an external window.

Can you follow the other post or ask there? I believe Nick is answering this issue ...
What is the link to your gallery?

What codec are you using for the mp4? You need to use the
H.264 codec, as outlined in the first paragraph on this page:
https://www.photo.gallery/documentation/video/
Not only is this required to run in the online player, but it is also the industry-standard codec for high-quality mp4.

The original issue posted in this thread has now been fixed. Now, the audioplayer will start playing again after a video closes, also for the new video player that opens in lightbox. Naturally, it will only start playing again if the audio was playing before the video was opened.
This fix will be available in
Imagevue X2.8.2, to be released on Thursday.

For my lightbox video, the music does not stop. What did I do wrong?

Not sure but it works here ... It stops when you open the video. Starts when you close it. Perhaps you have experiencing problems if the audio didnt even load yet before the video starts and maybe this complicates it ...
There is one thing I am wondering about with this folder though ... You have a single video in the folder, so Imagevue tries to make a shortcut and play the video directly instead of showing thumbnails. This may cause some complications with the audioplayer. Why not just link directly to the video from your menu if you only have a single video?? I assume this is related ...

Karl,
I have several Videos, that was just for the example. I want to have them organized by folder, i.e. Commercials, Messages, etc...
What is the best course of action for this?

Then just proceed as you have already started. Once you add more than a single video to a folder, it will not autostart when accessing the folder, and instead the gallery will show thumbnails ...

Karl I have updated my Gallery and the sound is not stopping when opening the lightbox link to the YouTube video. I am using Google Chrome Version 24.0.1312.52 m
http://gallery.embassymarine.org (under "Videos" on the Main Menu).

But anyway, this can be explained ... When you open an external page in lightbox, for example Youtube, Imagevue is not gonna choose to turn on/off audio ... How does it know what page you are going to open? Besides for the fact that mostly, youtube videos are not set to autostart.
I would assume most people have already turned off your audio, and those who did not, would probably need to do this first. After all, if they are listening to music on their computer and then visiting a Youtube video, they would need to do this manually anyway.
